Penn State Ag Council Seeking Support for Supplemental Funding for Ag Research & Extension

By now you may have heard that the 2016 state budget for Penn State Extension and Penn State Ag Research was zeroed out by Governor Wolf despite strong support from all levels of state government. If the zero funding stands, Penn State Extension, 4-H, the Master Gardener program and our research stations are at risk of closing down. The attached document explains this in detail here.

We encourage our friends and supporters to take a couple of minutes to contact legislative leadership, as well as local state legislators, and ask them to support the proposed supplemental funding bill sponsored by Senator Vogel which restores the Land Scrip fund (where the funding for Ag Research and Extension resides) to $50,549,000.

If you are unsure of how to contact your local legislators, this link below and the attached document will help you find that information.

Thank you for your support and efforts in sharing this information by making a phone call, sending an email, or reaching out to our legislators in some manner.
