Locust Lane Brewery in Malvern Seeking Farms Interested In Spent Grain
Locust Lane Brewery, 50 Three Tun Rd. in Malvern, is looking to start production in late fall 2016. They are looking for farmers that might be interested in taking the spent grain for free.
Weekly weight will be around 1,000 lbs dry weight when at full production. It will be about 33% less to start and may not be weekly to start. The goal over the first year is to get to 1000lbs per week.
Note this is the dry weight above. The spent grain will be wet right after use and it tends to hold about 1 gallon per 5lbs of grain. This would work out to be an additional 1600lbs.
