PASA: Farm-to-Table Tasting Event at Josie Porter Farm
The Josie Porter Farm will host its inaugural Farm-to-Table Tasting Event featuring local foods and chefs on the farm located in beautiful Cherry Valley. A variety of small plates to appeal to conscious eaters will be served, along with live music, libations & guided nature walks. $10 of every ticket will be donated to PASA. Executive Chef Daniel Mattrocce of Lanes End Farm kitchen will prepare intriguing tapas featuring an assortment of fresh-from-the-farm foods sourced from the Josie Porter Farm and their family of growers and producers. Daniels Manhattan catering company, DM Cuisine, is renowned at celebrity events in New York City. In addition, Chef Proprietor Salvatore Cinquemani of Foulks Sheep Hill Farm will prepare special lamb entrées from his Texel & Dorset crossed lamb. Drinks will be provided to compliment the menu plus a variety of beers from ShawneeCraft Brewing Company and local award-winning wines from Sorrentis Cherry Valley Vineyards may be sampled. Guests may also enjoy visiting with the Chefs as well as the growers who helped provide the meal.
In addition, live music will be provided by local jazz ensemble Nancy and Spencer Reed, plus the Organic Planet Duo. Farm tours and a guided nature walk with naturalist Don Miller will also be offered. Several vendors from the farms June 11 festival will remain onsite to provide additional offerings and entertainment.
