PASA Education Event- Economics of the Grazing Dairy

Thursday
December 8, 2016
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Lancaster Farm & Home Center 1383 Arcadia Rd, Lancaster, PA
Join farmers Myron Martin and Cliff Hawbaker, University of Maryland researcher Dale Johnson, and Penn State Extension Dairy Team member Matt Haan, for a discussion on the economics of the grazing dairy Thursday, December 8, from 6-8pm, at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center.

This event is designed to be a panel discussion in which the presenters will speak to their experiences relating to the economics of the dairy industry, including conventional models but focusing on grazing-based systems, specifically management intensive rotational grazing. Attendees will be welcome to ask questions, share views, and join in the conversation. The hope is that all those in attendance will come away with an understanding of the financial viability of grazing models in today’s changing dairy economy.
Registration will be open from 10/25/2016 to 12/7/2016 at noon.
