Join the PASA Delaware Valley Sustainability Hub at North Star Orchard in Cochranville, PA (Chester County) for a farm tour and potluck on Tuesday, September 20 at 5:00 PM. North Star Orchard, owned and farmed by Ike and Lisa Kerschner, is a 20-acre orchard and vegetable farm. Lisa and Ike use a combination of organic, and integrated pest management strategies (IPM), as well as new technologies to manage their land sustainably since 1992.
The focus of the evening tour will be on North Star’s heritage apple production along with their apple breeding projects. The walk and discussion will be punctuated with apple tastings!
Registration is free. In case of rain the event will be held inside The Blue Star Barn at North Star Orchard. Please bring a dish or beverage to share, as well as reusable dishware and water bottles to reduce waste. Tour starts at 5:00 and potluck dinner will follow at 6:00.
