Conservation Assistance for Philadelphia Farmers
As you are making plans for the 2022 growing season, are you looking for ways to build soil health? Are you hoping to extend the growing season? Do you need ideas on how to improve irrigation and water use? If so, or if you’re looking for other methods to steward the soil, water, air, plants, animals, and energy on your urban farm, come and learn about the assistance USDA-NRCS can provide to you.
On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at noon, you’ll meet your local team of support, including Beth Sassaman and Elbert Wells, hear from Dimka Braswell, farmer and Urban Subcommittee Representative, and more. You’ll find out about financial incentives and (free!) technical assistance available to you through the programs of USDA-NRCS. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Registration is simple and free, but required: https://forms.office.com/g/0iT4pGivJg |
The live meeting will be held on the MS Teams platform. The day before the event you’ll receive a reminder with the link to attend and optional call-in number.
Please feel free to share this invitation and the flyer attached with your networks. Panelists include Philadelphia staff, but note that the same assistance and “EQIP Urban Payment Scenarios” are also currently available in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh.

We look forward to meeting you next week!
