Join Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Agricultural Sciences Plant Pathology and Microbiology, at the Mendenhall Inn as we host the 57th Annual Mushroom Short Course. This year’s conference will feature speakers from industry and academia. The program will highlight the latest advances, challenges, and opportunities on a broad range of subjects, all with an emphasis on the most critical issues facing the mushroom industry today. Topics will include up-to-date progress at the forefront of food safety, disease and pest management, novel substrates materials, dietary health, regulatory concerns, spawn technology and cultivation practices, spent compost, and more. Specialty mushroom cultivation and Hispanic IPM sessions will also be included.

Who should attend? Mid-management and upper-level-supervisors and growers who want to strengthen their background on the science of mushroom growing.
