Penn State Extension Presents: FarmSense
Farm$en$e is a four session workshop that teaches farmers how to understand financial statements such as the cash flow statement, the balance sheet, and the income statement. Course participants will learn how to use financial records to make informed financial and production decisions. These skills will strengthen the farm business and improve relationships with business partners.
When: January 8, 15, 22 & 29, 2016 (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
All agricultural businesses including: Livestock, Dairy, Crops, Horticulture-including Orchards, Greenhouses, and Vegetable Operations, and Diversified Farms Producing Multiple Items can benefit from Farm$en$e.

- Budgeting and Scenarios
- Managing for Farm Disasters
- Production Planning
Class participants will create their own custom financial records and outline a business plan for their farm. This course offers hands-on learning and homework assistance (one hour prior to sessions two, three and four, and one hour after all four sessions) from instructors.
Pre-registration is required. All those attending must register. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
